It can be difficult to get out of bed now that the sun is rising much later in the morning. Many Chicago residents find that it is still dark out when they must begin their commutes to work and school. As a result, more drivers are out on the roads even before the sun is up.

An early morning weekday crash outside of Chicago has left one woman dead and another woman battling serious personal injuries. The accident occurred before 6 o’clock in the morning on Route 83 in Cook County. Two vehicles crashed into each other in a head-on collision that resulted in catastrophic injuries to both drivers.

Investigators are still sorting out the details of this violent crash, which claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman. Their analysis may provide some clues as to who was the negligent driver in the car accident and where liability should lie with regard to the pursuit of litigation in this case. It may also reveal if darkness or other factors contributed to this fatal crash.

Facts form the basis of personal injury lawsuits and provide evidence to victims of car accidents of other people’s negligence. When carefully alleged, the facts of an injury-causing accident can paint a clear picture of how one individual acted inappropriately given the situation in which he was in. If the victim of the negligent person can show that his injuries were caused by the actions of the other then that victim may be able to pursue compensation for his injuries and losses.

The facts of this incident may be revealed through the accident investigation. Once it is complete either the injured driver or the family of the deceased driver may be able to begin the litigation process. Attorneys who practice personal injury law can assist people in these difficult situations and can help them to better understand their rights under the law.
